Samarpan Sanstha

Empowering Lives, Transforming Futures

Samarpan Santha is a remarkable organization founded by Kumari Savita Singh, a woman of extraordinary resilience and determination. Despite her physical challenges, Kumari Savita Singh’s mental strength and unwavering commitment to social service have been the driving force behind the Santha. Alongside a group of compassionate and kind-hearted women, she established this organization with the mission to uplift and empower Divyangjans (persons with disabilities) and underprivileged women, creating a more inclusive and harmonious society.

The Early Days: Challenges and Determination

In its formative years, Samarpan Santha faced numerous challenges, particularly financial constraints. The organization did not receive any grants or support from the government or funding agencies. However, Kumari Savita Singh’s dedication and selflessness kept the Santha moving forward. She not only provided financial support but also devoted her life to improving and expanding the services of the organization.
Despite the financial crisis, Samarpan Santha, with the help of dedicated volunteers and social workers, took a significant step by establishing the Rajeshwari Viklang Vidyalaya Evam Vocational Training Centre. This institution was created to provide proper education and vocational training to Divyangjans, particularly those with intellectual disabilities and hearing and speech impairments, absolutely free of cost. This initiative marked the beginning of a transformative journey for countless individuals.

Empowering Divyangjans Through Education and Vocational Training

Samarpan Santha’s primary focus has always been on the holistic development of Divyangjans. The Rajeshwari Viklang Vidyalaya provides quality education tailored to the needs of students with intellectual disabilities and hearing and speech impairments. Alongside education, the Santha also organizes vocational training programs to equip Divyangjans with skills for income generation. These programs enable participants to create products and participate in local fairs, fostering self-confidence and self-reliance.

Addressing Local Issues and Social Campaigns

Samarpan Santha is not just an educational institution; it is a movement for social change. The organization actively addresses local issues, supports vulnerable communities, and campaigns against critical social problems such as domestic violence and other injustices. By raising awareness and providing support to victims, Samarpan Santha has become a beacon of hope and a catalyst for positive change in the community.

Integrated School for Divyangjans under DDRS Scheme

The year 2013 was a landmark moment for Samarpan Santha. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, recognized the organization’s efforts and sanctioned the establishment of an Integrated School for Divyangjans under Deen Dayal Disabled Rehabilitation Scheme (DDRS). This school specifically caters to individuals with intellectual disabilities and hearing and speech impairments, providing them with access to quality education and skill development. This recognition was a testament to the Santha’s unwavering commitment to the cause.

National Recognition and Corporate Support

The relentless efforts of Samarpan Santha were recognized on a national level when the organization received the prestigious Indian National Award from the Ability Foundation: CavinKare ABILITY Awards. This award brought the Santha into the limelight, attracting support from well-wishers and corporate entities.
One of the most significant contributions came from SAEL Agri Commodities Limited, a leading corporate house. They donated land worth Rs. 50 lakhs to the organization in 2017, on which a building was constructed to expand the Santha’s operations. Additionally, SAEL Agri Commodities Limited has contributed a 5KVA Solar System to the organization and regularly provides grains and financial support for the overall development of Divyangjan children. This partnership has been instrumental in enhancing the Santha’s capacity to serve the community.
